Hmm. He's never been here before. Never had a reason; he's not a man of science. Z has been here before though, once. He figures it's safe enough. Still, on his guard and his best behaviour, he starts to look for Norman Osborn.

The Labs are... not in the best state, at the moment. There is a sign on the door, warning of flooding and apologising for the inconvenience -- and inside, one sees that this is no exaggeration. Norman performed another flush this morning, but sea-water puddles are already beginning to form again, springing from no discernible source. The map on the wall is still lit, though, marking out one room in big, bold letters as "OFFICE."

That might be the best place to go.
Gabriel Grey: well...gabriel_grey on July 23rd, 2006 06:33 pm (UTC)
Squish squish squish, down to the OFFICE then, looking around warily for anything that might actually pose a problem. Once he gets there, he knocks politely, peeking in.

There is a very grim squiddish-man in a damp suit there, frowning at... well, there are papers on the desk. But he can't hardly sort through them when he's dripping like this, can he? At the knock he looks up, eyes narrowed. "Come in, Messr Grey."
Gabriel Grey: red shadowsgabriel_grey on July 23rd, 2006 06:42 pm (UTC)
He enters, seeming less confused by the state of the labs and of Osborn as he should.

"Sorry, I do realize you're er... busy. This won't take long. My apologies."

Gabriel does not look like he's in any better mood himself. For reasons other than having a cephalopodian head, obviously.

"Has anything changed pertaining to my alternate?"
Norman Osborn II: Half-squid - Bodakosborn_journals on July 23rd, 2006 06:48 pm (UTC)
The tentacles on the back of his head shift and bristle, flashing a poisonous purple at the tips before returning to their striped imitation of his usual hair colour. And his voice is that cold sort of smooth that you only really get when someone is trying hard to rein in their temper, and give you a warning not to press them further. "Beside the fact that he's apparently refusing to leave? No, not that's I've heard. But of course, I'm somewhat incapable of using electronics that aren't sealed in plastic bags at the moment, so I may be a bit behind the times."
Gabriel Grey: red shadowsgabriel_grey on July 23rd, 2006 06:55 pm (UTC)
He's very aware of the tone, but he is unfortunately not one to heed these sorts of things when he's angry. Not at the current target of his ire no, but annoyed neverthless.

"Refusing to leave? Forgive me if I don't believe that, Mr. Osborn. He was terrified of whoever has him.

"I know you're in a very bad way right now. Make it easier and let me deal with it. Tell me where he is, and I'll get out of your--" The man didn't have any hair, oops. "I'll leave you be."
Norman Osborn II: Half-squid - Bodakosborn_journals on July 23rd, 2006 07:03 pm (UTC)
He stares at him for a long moment, alien eyes unreadable. Then, softly. "Are you calling me a liar, then?"

Is it colder in here, all of a sudden?
Gabriel Grey: shadowgabriel_grey on July 23rd, 2006 07:08 pm (UTC)
"I'm calling you misinformed. Whoever's telling you this is lying to you."

He's keeping his energies reigned in, even though he desperately wants to protect himself right now.
Norman Osborn II: Blood - Consumptionosborn_journals on July 23rd, 2006 07:33 pm (UTC)
It wouldn't do too much good. Norman is rather upset, right now. There's sharp, toothy green all around him, and seething, mad dark power in the walls, and the floor oh God the floor can't be moving, can it?

"I suggest you leave, Messr Grey."
Gabriel Grey: eyes staringgabriel_grey on July 23rd, 2006 07:45 pm (UTC)
Extreme fear and fury war in him, instincts screaming at him to run now. He's about to leave (who wouldn't?), but he pauses. Stubborn fool.

"If he dies while I'm being forced to wait... I trust you. More than I should."
Norman Osborn II: Bloodyosborn_journals on July 23rd, 2006 07:49 pm (UTC)
No reply. Though the floor, at least, seems to have hardened. Gabriel appeased him enough to earn that. Though he still might want to leave.
Gabriel Grey: red shadowsgabriel_grey on July 23rd, 2006 07:53 pm (UTC)
Yeah, he's going to leave now. Even fools know when they've pushed their luck to the red line.

With a curt nod, he PINs out.
